Grace was born to Nels and Agnes Anderson on April 13, 1919 in Annandale, Minn. She was baptized on May 18, 1919 and confirmed on June 17, 1934 at Mount Herman Lutheran Church. She attended a country elementary school and later received her high school diploma from Annandale High School. She was united in marriage to Carrol Antonson on Oct. 11, 1952 in Annandale. After her marriage, she joined her husband in South Dakota on his farm. This is where all four of their children were born. In April of 1966, they moved to Minnesota to continue farming near Day, Minn. In 1975, they retired from farming and later moved to Braham in 1976.
Grace had various jobs throughout her life, but she most enjoyed being a stay at home mom to her four children. She also had many different hobbies, such as knitting, sewing, and crocheting for her family and friends.
Grace was an active member of Siloa Lutheran Church. She was a member of the choir, the Sunday School Superintendent, and also taught Sunday School.
Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were very special to her. She faithfully followed all of their events and activities they participated in. She loved attending all of their athletic events. She enjoyed being around people and people enjoyed being around her as well. Grace was kind-hearted, full of life, and a joy to be around.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carrol, son, Paul, sister, Ruby, and brother, Marvin.
Grace is survived by her son Mark (Nancy) Antonson of Mora; son David Antonson of Grasston; and daughter Kristi Boudreau of Braham. She is survived by her beloved grandchildren: Bryan Antonson, Jamie Ulstrom, Teresa Antonson, Brooke Hohn, Jason Boudreau, Jennie Boudreau, Emily Antonson, Mike Antonson, and Paige Antonson. She is also survived by her three great-grandchildren: Ty Graves, Easton Hohn, and Addisyn Antonson.
A funeral service was held Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Siloa Lutheran Church in rural Braham. Rev. Del Schanidt officiated. Music was provided by Roberta Erickson and Pat Schonhardt. Casket Bearers were Grace’s grandchildren. Honorary Casket Bearers were Grace’s great-grandchildren. Burial was at the Siloa Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were by Rock-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Braham.
