Mystery Photo contest at CIHS during conferences

During the Cambridge-Isanti High School parent conferences on Thursday evening, Jan. 17, there will be a special Social Studies Department “Mystery Photo” contest for parents and students.

History and geography instructor, Dan Johnson, will display 20 “untouched framed photographs” taken of man-made structures/events and natural physical changes. These pictures have been taken over several decades of traveling and teaching geography and history. Every picture has a unique story about the culture of people, events or physical changes on our earth.

Parents and students can make educated guesses as to the description of the event or structure and the possible location.  Entry forms and guidelines will be available in the South House that evening with prizes donated by People First Travel of Cambridge. CIHS students will also have their chance to enter later during the school day after conferences. The district hopes parents and other students will take part in this contest.
