Thanks for a great Christmas party

Dear Editor:

It is with my most humble gratitude and admirations for the Cambridge Masons and Landmark Bank that I write this letter to you.

Once again this great community came together to help us, The Refuge Network, put together an awesome Christmas for our clients and their children.

With over 10 years of partnering with the Cambridge Masons and Landmark Bank to put together a Christmas party for our clients’ children, we had another great party this year. I just love the enthusiasm that Lori Ness at Landmark Bank has each year for this project! She has always been more than willing to help facilitate the “Christmas Giving Tree” and has done a fabulous job!

Without the proper support of the people in the community to pick an “ornament” on the giving tree, shopping for a child of their choice for gifts and returning a beautifully wrapped Christmas gift back to the bank, 51 children in this area may not have gotten a Christmas gift this year. By sheer numbers, this was our largest attended party at the Masonic lodge than any other year. It was a fun-filled evening with a great ham dinner served by many “good guys and gals.” Working with Roger and his crew has become a December delight for me. And Santa was there to distribute the gifts to the children and we all saw a lot of happy faces!

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” –Margaret Mead

With heartfelt thanks to all community members involved in this enormous project, I wish everyone a happy holiday and a prosperous new year!
