Check out Faithfully Fit Forever at Cambridge Lutheran Church (a welcoming place to be) at 621 Old N. Main St.
What do we do? Basically, we exercise. Women and men (mostly seniors) attend two days a week at 10 a.m. for one hour on Tuesday and Friday in the Fellowship Hall at CLC.
All seniors in the surrounding community (men and women) are invited. The age range varies. Exercise is for everyone. Why do it? We age better.
Session 2 (16 weeks) begins Jan. 22. No need to pre-register. Sign in on arrival. Wear loose fitting outfits and sturdy supportive shoes.
The first class will begin with a social time, serving up a healthy snack, getting acquainted and re-acquainted with previous members after a brief hiatus. Class format follows.
The format of our FFF class? A short warm-up, aerobics, part low impact, part using a chair, cool down, heart rate check, therabands (strength), a health issue and devotional closing.
Fun things about this class … Everyone is comfortable here and at times, individuals will share an experience they have had that relates to the current health being discussed. Many times, we just share. At times someone may opt to do the closing prayer or take on a short devotion … whatever they choose.
We are now in colder weather. It is not an excuse to become sedentary and hit the rocking chair. We all need a purpose and stimulation in our lives … like being around people.
I invite you to visit and check out FFF. It may be just for you! No fee required. For more information call Lois Tureen at 763-689-2180.
