Our traditional American values
Traditional American values emphasize respect for the unique individual differences of people.
Quietness or silence when angry is good etiquette. Patience is important because things must develop over time. Mutualism emphasizes cooperation over competition to enhance group security and consensus in decision making. Religion is integrated into all aspects of daily life. These are traditional Native American values.
The work ethic, honesty, and faith contributed by our Scandinavian ancestors have combined well with the concepts of democracy and justice contributed by our Founding Fathers of English/British descent.
Our national holidays represent a wide range of traditional American values to demonstrate the predominant American value which is “respect and assimilation of the differences brought to our cultural and national landscape.” This American Exceptionalism.
