American Red Cross Blood Drive
Thursday, Dec. 13: An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at Culver’s in Cambridge from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to make an appointment or for more information. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in.
Knit Night at Rendezvous Coffee
Thursday, Dec. 13: Knit Night will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rendezvous Coffee in Isanti, 310 Dahlin Ave. SE. Join them every Thursday night for crafting or come to learn to knit or crochet.
Isanti County Self-Advocacy Celebration
Friday, Dec. 14: The Isanti County Self-Advocacy group will be ringing the bell for the Salvation Army at Cub Foods in Cambridge from 2 to 4 p.m. Dress warm, and come even for half-hour. The Holiday Potluck will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Bring food to share and a $5 wrapped present to exchange. The Potluck will be held at United Methodist Church in Cambridge, 404 N. Santa to visit Cambridge Theater
Saturday, Dec. 15: Santa will stop by the Cambridge Theater from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Your $5 ticket includes the movie, picture with Santa and a goody bag. The children’s movie begins at 9:30 a.m.
Saturday, Dec. 15: Garage Guys will meet at 8 a.m. at Spirit River Community Church, 1320 Co. Rd. 5 NE, Isanti. The time will start with devotions and coffee and then move on to the project(s) at hand. This is open to all – males and females.
Ruby’s Food Pantry Distribution
Saturday, Dec. 15: Ruby’s Pantry Food Distribution will be held at Elim Baptist Church, 114 Dahlin Ave., Isanti, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. $15 donation.
East Central Minnesota Grad Band Holiday Concert
Sunday, Dec. 16: The East Central Minnesota Grad Band will present its annual holiday concert on at 2 p.m. at the Cambridge Middle School, 31374 Xylite St. NE, Cambridge. It is a free concert with a free will offering. Cider and cookies will be served at the intermission. The concert features a trombone solo by local musician and band director, Eric Anderson.
Santa to visit Urban’s Isanti Hardware
Sunday, Dec. 16: Children are welcome to bring their list and visit with Santa at Urban’s Isanti Hardware from 1 to 4 p.m. Make sure you bring your camera for a photo with Santa.
Together in Recovery
Sunday, Dec. 16: Together in Recovery, a Christian-based recovery group, will meet at 6 or 7 p.m. at Spirit River Community Church, 1320 Co. Rd. 5 NE, Isanti. Use the north side doors of the building.
Cambridge Surplus Food Distribution
Tuesday, Dec. 18: Every third Tuesday of the month at the Isanti County Fairgrounds, registration and food distribution will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Food will be distributed to one person only per address. You may not pick up for other people. You must bring an ID with your current address on it. College Class to hold Poster Fair on Global Charities
Dec. 18 & Dec. 20: Anoka Ramsey Community College ‘Intro. to Communication’ students will be sharing information on local, national, and global charities in the form of an open house poster fair. They will be available to answer questions and provide handouts as well so you can become involved too. The fair will be held at GracePointe Crossing-The Commons, 1545 RiverHills Pkwy N.W. on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 6:30 p.m. and at Gables West 135 Fern St. N. on Thursday, Dec. 20 at 9 a.m.
Gathering for those in Recovery
Tuesday, Dec. 25: New Hope Community Church’s Hope for Life, will have a gathering of those in Recovery, from any addiction and or codependency at The Gathering Place, 145 2nd Ave. S.E. on Christmas Night from 7 to 8 p.m. If you are in recovery and alone feel free to join for a non traditional meal and or snack with our group.
