Holiday Music in Braham

Thursday, Dec. 6: Holiday music will be provided before the community tree lighting in downtown Braham. Performer Julie Cavallin will be singing at 4:30 p.m. at Braham Country Floral to bring in the holiday spirit. The tree lighting will start at 6:30 p.m. in Freedom Park. Many other downtown Braham businesses are joining in the fun by offering goodies and more.

Braham Community Tree Lighting

Thursday, Dec. 6: Community tree lighting and caroling in downtown Braham will be held in Freedom Park in the Gazebo. It’s a small town Country Christmas with a nostalgic feel of community togetherness. Hosted by the Braham Girl Scouts. They will be collecting toys, gifts and non-perishable food items for the food shelf. Come early for free live music and a hot drink at Braham Country Floral.

Free Community Dinner & Bread Distribution

Thursday, Dec. 6: A free community dinner & bread distribution, hosted by the Cambridge UPC Church, will be held at 210 10th Ave. SW, Cambridge, (renting the Seventh Day Adventists Church) from 5:30 to 7 p.m. If you need a ride or have questions, contact   Pastor David L. Willis at 651-674-8842.

Jingle Bell Ball 

Friday, Dec. 7: The 2nd annual Jingle Bell Ball will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Armed Forces Reserve and Community Center in Cambridge. DJ music and dancing with Princesses. For children of all ages; $12 at the door. E-mail solle@cambridge.k12.mn.us for further information.

Holiday Bake & Craft Sale

Dec. 7-8: Isanti County Humane Society will be having a Holiday Bake & Craft Sale on Dec. 7 and Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cambridge City Center (formerly Cambridge Mall). Proceeds benefit the Isanti County Humane Society “Share the Care.”

Ladies Night Out

Friday, Dec. 7: Ladies Night Out is an event given by Momentum Health Chiropractic, 1525 1st Ave. East, Cambridge. They are promoting health and wellness and local women in business. They will be offering free food and refreshments, health screenings, mini massages given by Willowbridge Center, free goodie bags and samples. Try products and services.

Braham Santa Day

Saturday, Dec. 8: Braham Santa Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Braham. Events will include “Dad’s Belgian Waffle Brunch” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. that will consist of All-You-Can-Eat waffles, sausage, fruit & beverage. At the door adult tickets $8, kids 6-12 $6. Kids 5 and younger eat free with adult ticket. Royal Neighbors will match up to $1,000 from the brunch, and all proceeds from this fundraiser go to the Braham Area Community Center. Santa’s Gift Shoppe will be open which is a great place for affordable gift giving. Bring a non-perishable food item for the Braham Area Food Shelf or a $1 donation and receive a picture with Santa. There will also be Christmas treats and other baked goods for sale, as well as children’s coloring activities, music and caroling.

Lake Wobegon Brass Band in Concert

Saturday, Dec. 8: The Lake Wobegon Brass Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Hardy Performing Arts Center at Cambridge-Isanti High School. The band is a 28 piece, British Brass Band ensemble. They will perform a variety of holiday songs. Tickets are $16, $14 and $12 and can be purchased at hardycenter.com, calling 763-689-6189 or at the door.

Matthew 25 Food Distribution Ministry

Saturday, Dec. 8: Matthew 25 Food Distribution Ministry will be held at Isanti Middle School. Food will be distributed beginning at 9:30 a.m.

PFLAG Meeting

Sunday, Dec. 9: The East Central MN Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays will meet at 4:30 p.m. at Common Ground, the Cambridge United Methodist Church, at 404 North Cypress in Cambridge. Thursday, Dec. 13: An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at Culver’s in Cambridge from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to make an appointment or for more information. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in.

Knit Night at Rendezvous Coffee

Thursday, Dec. 13: Knit Night will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rendezvous Coffee in Isanti, 310 Dahlin Ave. SE. Join them every Thursday night for crafting or come to learn to knit or crochet.

Isanti County Self-Advocacy Celebration 

Friday, Dec. 14: The Isanti County Self-Advocacy group will be ringing the bell for the Salvation Army at Cub Foods in Cambridge from 2 to 4 p.m. Dress warm, and come even for half-hour. The Holiday Potluck will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Bring food to share and a $5 wrapped present to exchange. The Potluck will be held at United Methodist Church in Cambridge, 404 N. Santa to visit Cambridge Theater

Saturday, Dec. 15: Santa will stop by the Cambridge Theater from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Your $5 ticket includes the movie, picture with Santa and a goody bag. The children’s movie begins at 9:30 a.m.

Ruby’s Food Pantry Distribution

Saturday, Dec. 15: Ruby’s Pantry Food Distribution will be held at Elim Baptist Church, 114 Dahlin Ave., Isanti, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. $15 donation.
