This is in response to Mr. Vaselaar’s letter of last week. While he makes some interesting points, I am going to make this short and sweet.
In my opinion, even though there are “red” states that receive a lot of government assistance, the difference between them and those in the urban areas is a matter of values. They tend to believe in traditional American values such as faith, family and freedom. They vote red because they believe the conservative message stands for those values. They do not believe a progressive agenda follows them.
