Join Curt Bourke in his fight against pancreatic cancer Dec. 8 at the Cambridge American Legion.
On Sept. 11, 2012, Curt underwent a major surgery known as the whipple procedure to remove a tumor that was found on his pancreas. They also removed several lymph nodes, three of them being cancerous. He started chemotherapy on Oct. 16. Over the next six months, Curt will be enduring both chemotherapy and radiation. He is self-employed and working is not an option for him for the next six months.
Curt’s strong will and determination will kick this cancer. That’s why his family and friends are holding this benefit.
The Dec. 8 event starts at 4 p.m. with food provided by Whole-E Smokes BBQ and a silent and live auction. At 8 p.m., there will be live music and $5 keg beer specials.
