Spaghetti Dinner to benefit Harbor Room

Saturday, Nov. 24: Christ the King Knights of Columbus and the Helios Masonic Lodge will hold their third annual Spaghetti Dinner to benefit Harbor Room, the cancer resource center at Cambridge Medical Center, at Christ the King parish hall, 315 N. Fern St. Cambridge, from 5 to 7 p.m. The cost of the dinner, which includes salad, bread, dessert, and beverage, is $6 per person, with children 5 and under free. Tickets will be sold at the door. Bring a perishable food item to help restock the local food shelf.

Service of Reconciliation

Sunday, Nov. 25: Common Ground – A United Methodist Community – invites everyone to attend a Service of Reconciliation at 4:30 p.m. This service is an opportunity for people to come together to worship, regardless of how they voted in the election. American Red Cross Blood Drive

Tuesday, Nov. 27: An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at Elim Baptist Church in Isanti, 114 Dahlin Ave., from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to make an appointment or for more information. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in.

Swedish Breakfast Club

Thursday, Nov. 29: Den svenska frukostklubben samlas den sista torsdag i månaden (den 29 november) klockan 8:00 på morgonen på Dusty Eagle i Dalbo. Välkommen till alla som har intresse för det svenska språket och kulturen. Vi ses. (The Swedish Breakfast Club meets the last Thursday of the month, Nov. 29 at 8 a.m. at the Dusty Eagle in Dalbo. Sale to benefit Li’l Farm Children’s Home

Nov. 30-Dec. 1: Sisters Francette and Margaret of the Li’l Farm Children’s Home are pleased to invite all to the holiday sale on Friday, Nov. 30, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 1, from 9 a.m. to noon at Christ the King parish hall, 315 N. Fern St. Cambridge. This amazing sale is always an excellent shopping experience. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will be providing free gift wrapping at the event. They will also provide supplemental funds to the Li’l Farm.

Community Service of Remembrance

Sunday, Dec. 2: Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home of Cambridge will host  its 14th annual “Service of Remembrance” at 7 p.m. at Cambridge Lutheran Church.  All members of the community who have had a loss of a loved one are invited to join in a candle lighting ceremony.  Guests will hear a message of hope and healing from Pastor Amy Strydom along with musical performers Gwen Anderson, Kenny Krona and Denise Osterman. Holiday Music in Braham

Thursday, Dec. 6: Holiday music will be provided before the community tree lighting in downtown Braham. Performer Julie Cavallin will be singing at 4:30 p.m. at Braham Country Floral to bring in the holiday spirit. The tree lighting will start at 6:30 p.m. in Freedom Park. Many other downtown Braham businesses are joining in the fun by offering goodies and more.

Braham Community Tree Lighting

Thursday, Dec. 6: Community tree lighting and caroling in downtown Braham will be held in Freedom Park in the Gazebo. It’s a small town Country Christmas with a nostalgic feel of community togetherness. Hosted by the Braham Girl Scouts. They will be collecting toys, gifts and non-perishable food items for the food shelf. Come early for free live music and a hot drink at Braham Country Floral.

Jingle Bell Ball 

Friday, Dec. 7: The 2nd annual Jingle Bell Ball will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Armed Forces Reserve and Community Center in Cambridge. DJ music and dancing with Princesses. Holiday Bake & Craft Sale

Dec. 7-8: Isanti County Humane Society will be having a Holiday Bake & Craft Sale on Dec. 7 and Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cambridge City Center (formerly Cambridge Mall). Proceeds benefit the Isanti County Humane Society “Share the Care.” Scout & Morgan books will donate 10 percent of their sales to the Isanti County Humane Society on these two days.

Braham Santa Day

Saturday, Dec. 8: Braham Santa Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Braham. Events will include “Dad’s Belgian Waffle Brunch” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. that will consist of All-You-Can-Eat waffles, sausage, fruit & beverage. Advance adult tickets $7, kids 6-12 $5. At the door adult tickets $8, kids 6-12 $6. Kids 5 and younger eat free with adult ticket. Royal Neighbors will match up to $1,000 from the brunch, and all proceeds from this fundraiser go to the Braham Area Community Center. Santa’s Gift Shoppe will be open which is a great place for affordable gift giving; something for everyone. Santa’s helpers are available to help children shop and wrap their gifts. Bring a non-perishable food item for the Braham Area Food Shelf or a $1 donation and receive a picture with Santa. There will also be Christmas treats and other baked goods for sale, as well as children’s coloring activities, music and caroling.
