Braham junior Rachel Eskuri placed 6th at 16:53, and freshman Thomas Warner ran to a personal-best 18:23 for 7th place to highlight the Bombers’ work at the Oct. 11 Great River Conference championships hosted at Pine City.
Those two earned All-Conference honors for their high placings. Both Bomber teams took 5th at the meet which was won by the Pine City girls and the Hinckley-Finlayson boys.
More Bomber varsity boys running personal-bests on the PC course were Connor TenNapel (20:38), Nick Jones (20:46) and Sam Foote (20:57).
H-F’s Breezy Schultz was the girls medalist at 15:54, and the Jaguars’ Jeremiah LeTourneau was the boys medalist at 17:39.

• Both Bluejacket teams placed 6th when the Mississippi 8 Conference finals were run at St. Michael Oct. 11. The Buffalo boys slipped past St. Michael-Albertville by one point for the title, and the swift Monticello girls defended their championship.
Seniors Darren Codner (18:07), Patrick Jones (18:10) and Dylan Korta (18:10) packed up well to lead the Bluejacket boys at the M-8s. Pacing the Bluejacket girls were senior Paige Muehlhauser (17:00), senior Taylor Oullette (17:44), junior Ashley Winselman (17:53) and senior Amy Head (17:54).
St. Michael’s Rachel King was the girls medalist at 14:30, and the Knights’ Brendan Sage was the boys medalist at 15:43.

• On Oct. 16, the Cambridged-Isanti Invite was run at the Grandy Nine GC. The Bluejacket boys finished as runners-up to Coon Rapids, and the Monticello girls tipped Big Lake by six points to win. The C-I girls were 7th, and the Braham girls were 8th, with the Bomber boys finishing in 9th place.
