Youth Driver’s Ed offered through Community Ed

The first step in driver education training is the required 30-hour classroom instruction. Students may register for this class portion if they will be age 15 by Jan. 1, 2013. The 30-hour class will be held Monday through Friday, Oct. 22-26, Oct. 29-Nov. 3, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Braham Area High School.

Dennis Foerster, certified driving instructor and owner of John’s Driving School, will be teaching this class.

After successful completion of this class, for an additional $100 payable to the instructor, students can obtain a blue card, which is required to take the state permit test. Once you have your permit, students can register for Behind-the-Wheel with our instructor. You will be required to take three two-hour sessions for $50 per session. The overall total cost of driver’s ed training is $349.
