Wild Game Cooking at its Best
Kathy Skog has been cooking wild game for the past 45 years and now that hunting season is upon she is ready to give you some great tips at class held on Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Braham Area High School.
Get off to a good start with new recipes and ideas on how to prepare and cook your wild game to perfection. You will learn how to turn various game into mouth watering meals that will save you money and get even your pickiest family members to try.
Skog will demonstrate how to make her favorite bear meatballs soaked in a special mushroom sauce that is simply to die for. Other meals include venison mushroom Swiss steak, venison roast with onions, garlic potatoes and carrots and possibly turtle stew with dumplings and more.
Various game will be simmering in crock pots just waiting for you to sample, so come hungry. Recipes will also be available for you to take home. If you have a favorite recipe that you want to share, please bring it along. Sign up early. Space is limited. Cost is $12/person or $19/couple
