Minnesota Star Watch party in Braham Oct. 9

Make the stars you old friends and watch the great celestial show in the skies over greater Braham. Mike Lynch, a meteorologist at WCCO Radio with 40 years of hosting and teaching these events, will be the host.

The Star Watch Party will be held Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Braham Area High School.

The night starts off with an indoor orientation followed by quality time outside under the heavens. You will get to know the great constellations like The Big Bear, Cassiopeia, Pegasus, and the stories behind them by using large reflecting telescopes that include two giant 20” reflectors for close-up views. You will also receive a great handout package with user-friendly star maps and constellation charts along with much more.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Registration deadline is Monday, Oct. 3.

This event sponsored by Braham Area Community Ed and registrations can be made online at www.braham.k12.mn.us and go to Community Ed. You can also call to register, or if you have questions, call 320-396-2677.
