Bombers drop times at Pierz Stampede: The Cambridge-Isanti boys cross country finished as runners-up to section-partner Princeton at the Sept. 11 Mora Invite. The Bluejacket girls placed 5th, with the Braham girls taking 7th and boys 9th.
Jacket leaders Dylan Korta (18:49), Patrick Jones (18:56) and Darren Codner (19:27) all earned medals for their top-15 run on the 5K course at Trailview Elementary. Paige Muehlhauser also brought home a medal for her 4K time of 17:37.
The Braham girls were paced by Rachel Eskuri who finished at 18:43. Thomas Warner led the Braham boys with his 21:16 run.
• On Sept. 17, the Braham girls closed in 14th place and the boys took 15th at the annual Pierz Stampede invite. Eskuri dropped one minute from the Mora race by placing 55th at 17:43. More top finishes for the Bomber girls were Jessica Westman (18:47), Jenna Winter (19:52) and Sammy Patterson (20:30).
The Braham boys also saw personal-best times at the Stampede after Warner again led the squad with a 19:22 time in 61st place. Connor TenNapel (20:59), Nick Jones (21:18) and Cody Anderson (21:44) followed behind Warner.
Braham’s section partner St. Cloud Cathedral swept the titles at the Stampede, with the 2nd-ranked boys scoring 43 points and the top-ranked Crusader girls totaling 71.
