The event includes a traditional complete German Bavarian style dinner, served buffet style from 4 to 7 p.m.; adjacent Bierstube dispensing authentic adult German beverages, and the outstanding Kevin and Melinda Ruprecht and Friends Band from the Richmond, Minn. area, will provide continuous listening/sing-along/dancing entertainment from 4 to 9 p.m.
Tickets are $16 for adults and $8 for children (under 10) which includes dinner/entertainment. Some tickets will be available at the gate, but advance reservations are recommended by calling the Friends of Historic St. John’s Ticket hotline at 763-444-9320.
The event is held outdoors—under the big tent on the church grounds. Historic St. John’s German Lutheran Church of Bradford is located at 900 Co. Rd. 5 NW, Isanti, MN (just 2 1/2 miles west of Isanti on Co. Rd. 5 NW).
Oktoberfest at Historic St. John’s is a one-time-a-year fund-raiser to replenish funds invested this past year: providing upkeep of the church and adjacent grounds, repainting both the inside and outside of this National Historic Register listed church, and making upgrades for parking.
Oktoberfest is sponsored by the Friends of Historic St. John’s, working to preserve and maintain this irreplaceable National Historic Register property for your generation—and the next.
