Rural Braham man dies in fatal accident

A 48-year old rural Braham man has died following a rollover accident in northern Isanti County on Friday, Aug. 10.

According to a press release by the Isanti County Sheriff’s Department, the department received a phone call at 6:43 p.m. regarding a one vehicle rollover accident on Co. Rd. 4 at the curve with Holly St. NW in Maple Ridge Township.

Upon arrival, deputies found that a pickup truck had went off of the road in the curve and apparently over-corrected and skidded into the ditch on the opposite side of the road where it struck a field approach and rolled over onto its roof.

The driver of the vehicle, Ronald Ray Krause, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Autopsy and toxicology reports are pending.

Assisting at the scene was Braham Police and Braham Fire/Rescue and the Minnesota State Patrol. This was the first fatal motor vehicle accident in Isanti County this year.
