Patricia J. Plaisance was born Nov. 13, 1930 to Fredrick and Jozena Torsch in Minneapolis. In 1947 she married her husband Victor Plaisance and shared 55 years togethen. They resided in Minneapolis where they raised 4 children.
They were members of Hope Lutheran Church where she was very active; she enjoyed singing in the Sr. Choir and performing in the Bell Choir. She worked for many years for the Minneapolis Public Schools and when she retired, she entered into the Missionary field and spent 14 years with S.T.E.M. Ministries where she served the Lord on 22 missionary trips to Haiti, 3 to Jamaica, and 3 to Trinidad.
After Vic retired they enjoyed wintering in Apache Junction, Ariz. until Vic passed away in 2002. She lived in Cambridge, Minn. for 8 years and lived the last 2 years in Mora.
Patricia passed away peacefully at home, August 7, 2012, with her family gathered by her side. She is survived by her loving children, Jeanne (Dennis) Holman of Minneapolis, Keith (Brenda) Plaisance of Cambridge, Dale (Cindy) Plaisance of Brooklyn Center, and Suzette (Gordon) Beaman Jr. of Mora; 1 granddaughter; 4 grandsons; 4 great granddaughters; 1 sister; 1 brother; and many friends and relatives. Preceded in death by her husband, Victor O. Plaisance Jr.; parents Fredrick and Jozena Torsch; 2 sisters; and 3 brothers.
Funeral Services were held Friday, August 10, 2012 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church with Rev. Steve Melander and Rev. Bud Bonn officiating. Pallbearers were Gordon E. Beaman III, Kyle J. Holman, James V. Beaman, Kevin M. Holman, Gordon E. Beaman Jr., and Dennis D. Holman. Interment was at Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis. Arrangements were with the Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Cambridge.
