Pie Day Pork Chop Supper in Braham

Braham Covenant Church will be hosting its 3rd annual pork chop supper on Friday, Aug. 3. The meal will be served from 5 to 8 p.m. and will feature the following menu: grilled pork chops, au gratin potatoes, corn, coleslaw, homemade buns, cookies and bars, coffee and lemonade. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. All proceeds will go toward defraying the expenses of this year’s Braham Fest on Sept. 8.

Braham Community “Praise at the Park”

The Braham Ministerial Association will be sponsoring the Braham community’s annual hymn sing at Freedom Park on Sunday, Aug. 5, at 6:30 p.m. The service will include singing and special music provided by our local churches. An offering will be received for the BMA community benevolent fund, and refreshments will be provided following the service. If it rains, the event will be held at Braham Covenant Church.

Vacation Bible School at Joy Lutheran

Joy Lutheran Church will be holding its Vacation Bible School during the week of Aug. 6 – 9 (Monday-Thursday) from 6 to 8:15 p.m.

The theme will be “GOD and ME at SEA.” You will ride the ocean waves and swim with the sea creatures God created.  And you will see the power and love of Jesus when you enjoy your days at the VBS beach. The program is set up for children ages preschool through 6th grade. They will have lots of fun activities with music, skits, games, crafts and snacks.

Caravan Vacation Bible School at St. John’s Lutheran

Hop on a camel and join the caravan at St. John Lutheran Church to travel the AMAZING DESERT JOURNEY where kids (and volunteers) visit a desert oasis, marketplace, storytelling, meeting tent, and craft bazaar. Enjoy interactive and  engaging activities while kids learn about Jesus’ amazing love. And it’s all free.

All caravaners should report to the oasis from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6 through Friday, Aug. 10. Barrel train rides every night. St. John Lutheran Church, Weber, is located 6 miles east of Isanti on Co. Rd. 5, then 1-1/2 miles south on Co. Rd. 12.
