The MSF District 6 Men’s Class “EE” slowpitch softball tournament was hosted July 28-29 at Sandquist Family Park, with the top six teams earning berths in the ‘EE’ State tournament at Rogers Aug. 10-12.

R.O.C. (Robert Olson Construction) out of the Chisago County League took top honors at the tourney, coming through the back door to defeat runner-up JARI’s Boys of the Chisago League twice in the championship games, including winning 17-5 in the final match-up.

Jimmy Jorgenson pitched well for C-I team Who’z Up, including defeating the Bungalow out of Emily in the opening game. Who’z Up qualified for “EE” State by placing 3rd at the district tourney hosted at Sandquist Park last weekend.

Who’z Up led the eight Cambridge-Isanti Men’s League entrants in the tourney by placing 3rd. Ringers out of Askov was 4th. Also advancing to State from the C-I League were Patriot Lanes/Precision Auto and the Ideal Bulldogs who tied for 5th.

The next big tournament hosted at Sandquist Park by the Cambridge-Isanti Softball Association will be the Aug. 17-19 MSF Women’s DD and D tourneys, with over 30 teams expected in town that weekend.

Jeff Monson of Ideal Bulldogs channeled his inner Quagmire to harass Country Corner with a double down the line during his team’s opening win at districts.
