Free Community Dinner & Bread Distribution

Thursday, Aug. 2: A free community dinner, bread distribution and free clothing and household goods offered by Hisgivers will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 210 10th Ave. SW in Cambridge (renting the Seventh Day Adventists Church). The event is hosted by Cambridge UPC Church. For questions or if you need a ride, call Pastor David L. Willis at 651-674-8842. Dinners & Bread Distribution are held the first Thursday of each month. Blood Drive at Cambridge Culver’s

Friday, Aug. 3: An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Culver’s in Cambridge. Joy Lutheran Annual Block Party

Saturday, Aug. 4: The Joy Lutheran Annual Block Party is from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. rain or shine. Special music by Kenny Krona and Gwen Anderson as well as member and youth talent. Grilled food and root beer floats will be available. Free will offering and proceeds will go toward the youth summer trip with BWX (Boundary Waters Experience) next summer.

Poppin’ in the Park

Saturday, Aug. 4: The Cambridge-Isanti Women of Today are offering Poppin’ in the Park. Pack a picnic lunch and join them from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Park Pavilion in the City Park #2. Fun will include make-your-own custom bubble blowing holder, bike decorating parade and water balloon toss. Please bring/ride bikes already decorated. Rain or shine. Do not bring glass to the park. Meet at the Pavilion located by Fern and 5th Ave SW, Cambridge. To ensure they have enough bubbles, let them know your family is joining by calling Lisabet at 763-221-5356.
