Games, rides, food and fun at the 2012 Isanti County Fair
Games, rides, food and fun—the 2012 Isanti County Fair had it all, and from July 18 to July 22, people from around the community and beyond visited the fairgrounds in Cambridge to get a taste of the fair.

- The theme of this year’s fair was “Discovering Living History.” Near the Isanti County Historical Society was the Living History display, complete with shows, demonstrations and costumed characters. Pictured, Rose Tveitbakk sews a quilt as her character, Hannah Rose.
- Shelby Falz, 4, took first place in the pedal tractor pull on Friday in the category for girls aged 4, with 17.25 feet.
- Weston Terhell, 4, took second place in the pedal tractor pull for boys aged 4.
- Charlie Semler pedaled 43 feet, 3 inches, giving him first place in the pedal tractor pull for boys aged 4.
- Macy Patton took second in the pedal tractor pull for girls aged 5.
- Pigs are social and intelligent, and even make nests to sleep in.

- Helen Remmers and Bill Carlson are named the 2012 Isanti County Outstanding Senior Citizens.
- Meghan Skiba of Cambridge was a purple ribbon champion for her winning quilt entry in 4-H.
- Amelia Utetch, 15, of Isanti, won a purple ribbon for her vegetable garden.
- Angela Fisk of North Branch was a purple ribbon champion for sewing this small dress for the 4-H clothing and textiles division.
- Tammy Rhine was a 4-H grand champion and division champion for this machine-sewed quilt.
- Candace Cameron was a grand champion and division champion for the 4-H color photography division.
