Pie Socials at Faith Lutheran
Everyone is invited to the annual Pie Socials held at Faith Lutheran Church of Isanti during the rodeo festivities. Pies will be served from 4 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 5. The Men’s Ministry of Faith will once again have a food booth in the church parking lot on the corner of 2nd and Main Street where purchasing a brat or hamburger will get you a coupon for 50 cents off a slice of pie.
The lower level entrance will be open before, during and after the Isanti Parade for those who wish to stop by for a great slice of pie. Root Beer Floats will be available, too. The Pie Social will continue on Saturday, July 7 at the Church from 10 – 3 p.m.
God’s Patterns in Nature Garden Tour and Luncheon
On Saturday, July 14, at 9:15 a.m., the Women’s Ministry of First Baptist Church in Cambridge is hosting a garden tour and luncheon. Four gardens will be toured followed by a catered lunch at the church. Tickets are available at the church office at 304 South Main St. from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets: $10 before July 1; after July 1: $15. Deadline is July 9. Vacation Bible School at Salem Lutheran Church
Vacation Bible School begins on Monday, July 16 at 9 a.m. at Salem Lutheran church in Dalbo. VBS is for preschoolers to 6th graders (as of last school year). The theme is “Amazing Desert Journey: Where Jesus Leads Us Home!” Luther Point Bible Camp staff will be with us on Monday afternoon to lead us in song and skits. Monday evening the camp heads to Springvale Campground to swim, with a lifeguard on duty. After swimming older VBS children/youth are invited back to the church for a sleeping bag overnight. Adult leaders will sleep over at the church, as well. Both dinner and breakfast will be served. On Tuesday morning, July 17 VBS (Bible lessons, crafts, music and games) begins again at 9 a.m. Please call Salem Lutheran Church for more information and to register at (763) 689-1687. MN Teen Challenge Choir to perform in Braham July 22
Minnesota Teen Challenge Concert Choir will perform Sunday, July 22, at 3 p.m. at Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church.
This is a free concert followed by an ice cream social in the Fellowship Hall. Come and hear powerful testimonies of God bringing men and women out of deepest darkness, into his glorious light. MN teen challenge is a Christian residential drug and alcohol program for teens and adults.
All are welcome to attend. Event sponsored by the Braham Area Community Center Task Force Committee.
VBS at South Isanti Baptist Church
Children ages 4 through 5th grade are welcome to join at South Isanti Baptist Church for its Vacation Bible School, “Return to Main Street, Where Jesus Makes a Difference Everyday.” Each day you will explore Jesus teachings on obedience, self-control, humility and perseverance. You will also create fun crafts and play some great games.
