He was born Sept. 10, 1916 in Buffalo, S.D. to Edward and Olina Berry.
Bob was preceded in Death by his wife, Frances, Son, Harvey, Daughters Marcia and Nancy, Grandson Nick Mershon, siblings Ernest, Leonard, Henry, Stella, Florence, Gladys, Maurice, Burton and parents Edward and Olina.
He survived by wife Mildred of Cambridge, Minn., daughter Jean Mershon of Brainerd, Minn., son Jack Berry of Crosslake, Minn., daughter-in-law, Paulette Berry of Brainerd, Minn., four grandchildren, Missy Bever (Mike) of Alaska, Scott Berry (Robbi) and Seth Berry (Missy) of Brainerd, Minn., Charles Mershon of Duluth, Minn., five great grandchildren, Derrick and Cameron Bever, Mia, Ella and Brielle Berry. Also survived by stepchildren James Berry (Carol) of McGrath, Minn., David Berry (Kathy) of Loveland, Colo., Dale Berry (Sharon) of Cambridge, Minn., Arla Berry of Minneapolis, Paul Berry (Kirsten) of Minneapolis, and Eileen Halls (Tom) of Ellsworth, Wis. Also survived by step-grandchildren Christopher (Beth), Elizabeth Novak (Tom), Jonathan (Pam), Benjamin (Esther), Rebecca Berry-Brohaugh (Paul), Daniel, Andrew J., Joshua (Joni), Katie Hanshew (R.J.), Andrew R., Matthew (Heather), Anne-Britt Mulberry (Sam), Amanda Robertson (Eric), Elisa Berry Fonseca (Ricardo) Sara Hein (Jim), 20 step great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and their families.
Bob will be deeply missed by his family and friends
Most of all we remember him for his love for his Lord Jesus Christ, gentle sense of humor, his quick wit and his gentlemanly manners with everyone he met.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Cambridge with Rev. Earl Lassen officiating. Pianist was Carlotta Lund. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers were his grandchildren. Interment was in Opstead Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Cambridge.
