2012 Spring season wrap-up & awards

Cambridge-Isanti senior Cole Bakke, the son of Tom and Cindy Bakke of Cambridge, was selected to represent the Bluejackets and the Mississippi 8 on the Northern All-Stars for the 38th annual Lions All-Star Series which will be held in Chaska June 22-23. The series will be played at the beautiful Chaska Athletic Park.  Cole, a tri-captain in 2012, has pitched for the Bluejackets the past three seasons and played shortstop and second base in games when he was not on the mound.

Cambridge-Isanti Softball: All-Conference: SRS Taylor Bowker, Katie McCann.

Cambridge-Isanti Boys Tennis: All-Conference: SRS Marshall White, Sam Renier. Hon.Mention: SR Matt Olson, JR Calvin Cicha.

Cambridge-Isanti Boys Track & Field: All-Conference: SRS Trevor Galligan, Forrest Kalk, Jeremy Ham, JR Patrick Jones. Hon.Mention: SRS Jordan Kalk, Aaron Kordiak, Kyle Willette, JRS Dan Kropidlowski, Travis Holt.

Cambridge-Isanti Girls Track & Field: All-Conference: SRS Erica Young, Adelle Nelson, Emily Santiago-Holboy, JRS Kylie Baas, Paige Muehlhauser, FR Anna Nelson. Hon.Mention: Emily Moore, Michaela Pash, Britta Rud, Bree Erickson, Alex Nelson, Lily Porta, Carlynn Galeazzi.

• Bethel University sophomore Rachel Kalk from Isanti was honored with a MIAC All-Conference title. At the track and field finals hosted by Concordia College, Kalk took 1st place in the 100-meter hurdles by bettering her own school record (14.86 seconds). The Bethel women finished 8th in the MIAC.
