Hoe Down at First Baptist Church is June 23

The old “Lampert Lumberyard” in downtown Cambridge (First Baptist Church’s parking lot on 3rd Ave SE and Adams St. S) will be the scene of a genuine Hoe Down with the Mystery Mountain Boys; a local bluegrass/country band that “makes you feel part of the swinging wild west movement through their music and message.”

The Mystery Mountain Boys will perform at a Hoe Down at First Baptist Church on June 23.

This free event will also have outdoor BBQ food to purchase as a fundraiser for the church’s ECHO Student Ministries mission trips this summer.

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, boots and hats, and get ready for a great time. The music starts to shake your boots at 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 23.

Kettle “fresh” popcorn and shaved ice will also be available for snacking pleasure. In case of questionable weather, the event will be moved inside the church.

The “All Seasons” class at First Baptist is sponsoring this event for all adults 50 years of age and older who would like an evening of great bluegrass/country music.
