Jackets, Bombers wrap up at State Track Meet

A hard-working group represented the local track & field squads when the State Meets were hosted at Hamline University last weekend.

In Class A, Braham had both its members place 9th in their respective events when Jacob Rajkowski ran in the 400-meter finals on Saturday, and Austyn Eng tied her school reocrd at 9-09 in the pole vault.

C-I senior Jackson Larson zipped to a 5:03.8 time in the 1600– a full minute faster than his seed time from sections!

The Cambridge-Isanti squads were represented in several Class AA events. In the wheel chair division, Jackson Larson placed 2nd in the shot put, discus, 1600 and 800. Also competing on Saturday were Adelle Nelson in the pole vault (suffered an unfortunate ankle sprain– no height), and Forrest Kalk 13th in the high jump.

On Friday for C-I, Patrick Jones tied for 12th at 13-0 in the boys pole vault, Aaron Kordiak finished 15th in the 400 (52:01), and Kordiak teamed with Dan Kropidlowski, Travis Holt & Trevor Galligan to place 15th in the 4×400 relay.
