Braham golfers took on metro courses last week for their competitions against Section 4A teams after Braham was reassigned from 7A last winter. Bomber junior Caitlin Richmond maintained her solid play by earning her second-straight State berth.
On Greenhaven GC, Richmond shot rounds of 92 and 97 to claim the third individual State spot out of 4A. Richmond will next play in the Class A Girls State tournament June 12-13 at Pebble Creek GC in Becker.
The Braham girls finished their good season with a 3rd-place two-day total of 859. Legacy Christian took the team title with a 792 total, and Heritage Christian was 2nd at 856.
• The Braham boys entered 4A play on Victory Links GC, finishing in 8th place with a 394 after Day 1. Legacy Christian went on to sweep both titles when they closed with a 612 two-day total, easily out-distancing Southwest Christian’s 657.
Bomber Quinn Richmond qualified for both days, shooting rounds of 95 and 81. Teammate Dylan Altendorf also shot both days, finishing at 95 and 93.
