Marcille Mae Wagner was born Dec. 22, 1924 in Tiffin, Ohio to Lloyd and Cleo (Stahl) Pennington. She was raised in McCutchenville, Ohio. Marcille married Grant Paul Wagner June 16, 1952 at Harmony EUB Church in McCuthenville where they also raised their family. Family activities were very important to her and she loved attending her children’s events. She also enjoyed baking, especially Christmas cookies.
Marcille will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Grant; four children, Ann Mason of Blaine, Donna (James) Weiss of Blaine, Darel (Tammy) Wagner of Isanti, and David (Karla) Wagner of Isanti; ten grandchildren, Ryan (Crissy), Chad (Lindsay), Brad (Hollie), Eric (Krista), Valerie, Kristen, Lindsay (Leon), Andrew, Jessica and Jennifer; 13 great-grandchildren, Averi, Audrey, Nolan, Sydney, Alex, Nick, Jillian, Collin, Austin, Kyla, Caitlyn, Rachelle and Austin; and by other relatives and friends. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by four siblings, MaryKathryn Walter, George Pennington, Robert Pennington and Carol Stine; and by a son-in-law, Gary Mason.
Marcille’s family gives special thanks to the staff of GracePointe Crossing Gables West for the wonderful care they gave her.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 8 at Christ Lutheran Church, 641 – 89th Ave NE, Blaine, Minn. A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Morningside Memorial Gardens in Coon Rapids. Cremation arrangements were with Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge.
