Ongoing: Cambridge Farmer’s Market takes place on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the City Center Market parking lot. Oct. 27 will end the season.

Kids’ Events at Spirit River

Wednesday, May 30: Spirit River Community Church Youth Group will be held at Spirit River Community Center at 5:30 p.m. Kids Klub for 1st-3rd graders, and 456 Fellowship for 4th-6th graders, will meet at 1320 Co. Rd. 5 NE (Spectacular Events Banquet Center). A meal is provided to visiting families.

Event to benefit Isanti 3-Day Team

Friday, June 1: An event hosted by Wintergreen’s in Isanti from 9 to 11:30 p.m. will benefit the Isanti Breast Cancer 3-Day Team who will be walking in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Aug. 24-26. The event will feature a game for guys, cookbooks and t-shirts for sale, quilt raffle and a ladies raffle with all sorts of great items.

Heavenly Harps Concert

Friday, June 1: The Heavenly Harp duo, featuring harpists Karin and Joy Gunderson, will give a concert at 7 p.m. at Cambridge Lutheran Church, 621 Old North Main St. in Cambridge. This unusual concert opportunity is sponsored by the Cambridge Center for the Arts. A free-will offering will be received.

Guided Tour of the Wetlands of Anderson Park

Saturday, June 2: Explore Isanti County Anderson Park’s three boardwalks and new viewing platform with wetlands expert Mike Mueller from 9-11 a.m. Learn about the waterbirds, fish and frogs, as well as water-loving plants such as sedges, rushes, wildflowers and various tree species that live in wetlands. The park is located in the southeast corner of Isanti County on Co. Rd. 18, a quarter mile north of Co. Rd. 9 and two miles south of Co. Rd. 5. The event is free and family-friendly. 8th Annual East Central Minnesota Pride

Sunday, June 3: A celebration of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) rural life will be held from noon to 5 p.m. at Voyageur Park in Pine City. Headlining this year’s event is Chastity Brown, City Pages’ artist of the year. Other musicians include Harley Wood, Nobody’s Weddin and Yasen Marie. There will be vendors, a silent auction, food, homespun fun and entertainment. All ages are welcome to the festival. Free admission. Call Don at 763-444-7984 for more information.

“Meet the Candidates” Dessert Social

Tuesday, June 5: Everyone is welcome to come and meet the 2012 Cambridge Ambassador candidates and share in an array of delicious desserts at United Methodist Church in Cambridge. Introductions begin at 7 p.m. with the social to follow until 8 p.m.

Race the Rum, Cambridge Day Out

Saturday, June 9: Cambridge Day Out is a fun-filled day with activities for individuals and families to get out, get moving and have some fun. Event to honor Sister Margaret with Li’l Farm

Sunday, June 10: Margaret Roozen, of the School Sisters of Notre Dame and co-founder of the Li’l Farm Children’s Home, will celebrate her 50th Jubilee on Sunday, June 10, with a Eucharistic Service at 11 a.m. at the Christ the King Catholic Church in Cambridge. A reception will follow immediately after the service in the parish hall.
