Ongoing: Cambridge Farmer’s Market takes place on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the City Center Market parking lot. Oct. 27 will end the season.

Friends of Grass Lake Church Meeting

Thursday, May 24: The Friends of the Grass Lake Church will meet at 4:45 p.m. at the Kanabec County History Center in the Coin School. All interested persons are welcome to attend and assist in planning future events and building enhancements.

Flower planting, cleaning at Hospital Cemetery

Friday, May 25: The Self-Advocacy Group will be doing a flower planting and clean up at State Hospital Cemetery, west of the Isanti County Government Center in Cambridge, on 18th Ave. All are welcome. Bring perennials and annuals to plant and garden tools. The planting will take place from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Potluck following at Heritage Park, 1455 Fern Street South, Cambridge. Bring a dish to share. Annual Memorial Day Get Together

Saturday, May 26: The annual get together at the Old Maple Ridge Covenant Church, located west of Braham, will begin with a potluck at noon, followed by a program at 1 p.m. Bring your own picnic dishes, beverages will be furnished. Program will be held by Nadette Waligora. Come and have a nice time of fellowship with friends.

Royalton Memorial Day Services

Sunday, May 27: The annual Memorial Day services will be held at Royalton Memorial Cemetery, northeast of Braham, at 2 p.m. The speaker will be Pastor Jennisch from Braham Covenant Church. Music will be provided by the GARMS family at Braham. Pictures of the chapel on hand painted plates will be available for sale. Lunch will be served-free will offering. Everyone is welcome.

Isanti Community Blood Drive

Tuesday, May 29: An Isanti Community Blood Drive with the American Red Cross will held from 1:30-6:30 p.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. For an appointment call 1-800-733-2767. Walk-ins welcome.

Kids’ Events at Spirit River

Wednesday, May 30: Spirit River Community Church Youth Group will be held at Spirit River Community Center at 5:30 p.m. Kids Klub for 1st-3rd graders, and 456 Fellowship for 4th-6th graders, will meet at 1320 Co. Rd. 5 NE (Spectacular Events Banquet Center). A meal is provided to visiting families.

Guided Tour of the Wetlands of Anderson Park

Saturday, June 2: Explore Isanti County Anderson Park’s three boardwalks and new viewing platform with wetlands expert Mike Mueller from 9-11 a.m. Learn about the waterbirds, fish and frogs, as well as water-loving plants such as sedges, rushes, wildflowers and various tree species that live in wetlands. The park is located in the southeast corner of Isanti County on Co. Rd. 18, a quarter mile north of Co. Rd. 9 and two miles south of Co. Rd. 5. The event is free and family-friendly. Race the Rum, Cambridge Day Out

Saturday, June 9: Cambridge Day Out is a fun-filled day with activities for individuals and families to get out, get moving and have some fun. The celebration kicks-off with ‘Race the Rum’ 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk (registration from 8-8:45 a.m. with 9 a.m. Race time)  followed by events and activities for families in Central Green Park from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. which includes a Picnic in the Park put on by the Cambridge Fire Department. Event to honor Sister Margaret with Li’l Farm

Sunday, June 10: Margaret Roozen, of the School Sisters of Notre Dame and co-founder of the Li’l Farm Children’s Home, will celebrate her 50th Jubilee on Sunday, June 10, with a Eucharistic Service at 11 a.m. at the Christ the King Catholic Church in Cambridge. A reception will follow immediately after the service in the parish hall.
