Ann was born Feb. 18, 1935 at Crookston, Minn. to Henry and Mabel (Doyea) Schipper. She grew up near Leonard, Minn. and graduated high school at Clearbrook, Minn. Ann married Kermit Lindberg Aug. 11, 1953 and resided in Fargo, N.D., Park Rapids, Minn., then lived in Monticello, Minn. for 23 years before moving to Maple Grove, Minn. and for the past year at Cambridge, Minn.
Mrs. Lindberg worked for 18 years as a medical technologist at Monticello-Big Lake Community Hospital. She enjoyed sewing, cooking for family and friends, casino games, music and dancing.
Ann Lindberg was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kermit; sisters, Jeanette and Mildred; brothers, Robert and Richard; and two infant brothers. She is survived by children, Gary (Joyce) of Flemingsburg, Ky., Steven (Teresa) of Brook Park, Minn., Danny (Cathy) of Brooklyn Park, Minn., Julie (Greg) Wheeler of North Chicago, Ill., and Renae (Craig) Hammond of Stanchfield, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and by many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, at St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Bemidji with Father Don Braukmann as Celebrant. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 11 at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel and also 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Lynn Maltais will serve as soloist and Margaret DeMers as pianist. Honorary pallbearers are Jennifer Crouse, Elizabeth Lindberg, Amanda Lindberg Aganga, Carrie, Laura and Allison Lindberg. Pallbearers are Andrew, Eric, and Evan Lindberg, Ben and Nick Hammond. Interment is in Our Lady of Victory Cemetery in Shevlin. Arrangements were with Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel.
