Thursday, May 3, marks the National Day of Prayer and the 17th Annual East Central “Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast.”
The event will take place from 6:45 to 7:45 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 304 South Main St., Cambridge.
The East Central Ministerial Association would like to invite all area public officials, pastors and church members to attend this year’s event. They have assigned leaders in the spiritual community to lead in prayer up front for our public servants.
Mayor Marlys Palmer of Cambridge will be the host and Senator Sean Nienow will share a brief message. Attendance is $10 a person which includes an excellent full breakfast and program. Public servants are free. The program will end promptly at 7:45 a.m. for those heading to work or school. Call the New Hope Community Church office at 763-552-7979 for questions and to make a reservation. Walk-ins are welcome.
Let’s come together and support our public servants and country as “one” people on May 3.
“When men and women work, men and women work. When men and women pray, God works.” Let’s pause together to thank God and invite God to continue His work on behalf of our public servants, communities and country.
