Bomber Track takes 5th at Chengwatana

Both Braham track & field teams placed 5th at the April 27 Chengwatana Invite hosted at Pine City. Winning the meet were the Mille Lacs girls and the Rush City boys.

Austyn Eng had a strong meet for the Bomber girls with three 1st places. She won the pole vault by clearing 8-06 and took the 300 Hurdles in 49.2. Eng also joined Julia Lindgren, Kayla Nickles and Jaclyn Hollenkamp on the winning 4×200 relay (1:57).

Hollenkamp placed 3rd for the Bombers in the 100 (13.7) and the 200 (28.7). Nickles (1:08) and Lindgren finished 4th and 5th in the 400, and Jenna Winter added 5th places in the pole vault (7-06) and high jump (4-03).

• Jacob Rajkowski battled his Great River counterparts to put up points for the Bomber boys at the Chengwatana. He placed 2nd in the 400 (51.5) and was 3rd in both the 100 (11.8) and 200 (22.7) races. Also placing 2nd was the 4×200 relay of Logan White, Bryce Lanhart, Dillon Arispe and Luke Whitehead (1:40).

Whitehead added a 4th in the 100 (11.8), and Zach Dahlman placed 4th in the triple jump (36-11).
