National Recycling, Inc. plans April 28 Grand Opening

National Recycling Inc. is opening its newly constructed metals recycling retail drop-off center in Cambridge, with its grand opening on Saturday, April 28.

Grand opening events are scheduled Saturday, April 28, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. National Recycling, Inc. is located at 1505 11th Avenue NE, in the Cambridge Opportunity Industrial Park.

“For the past two decades, we have built strong relationships in the metals recycling industry through our Hugo operations and have operated our business with a focus on integrity and attention to customer service,” said Rick Mark, founding owner of National Recycling Inc. “I’m looking forward to the new opportunities that NRI’s new metals recycling center in Cambridge will bring to the community and surrounding areas, including new jobs and an economic lift to people looking to partner with us in recycling their scrap metals. We intend to be an active participant in, and positive influence on the Cambridge community.”

Grand opening festivities available to the public on April 28 include a children’s play area, free food, door prizes and a chance to register to win a grand prize.

Through a successful public/private partnership with the city of Cambridge, National Recycling Inc. will be adding more than 15 new jobs and moving many current employees from its metals fabrication subsidiary, Industrial Support Services, currently located in Wyoming, Minn.

The new Cambridge facility will have state-of-the-art scales and convenient drive-thru service as well as a host of efficient processes to facilitate full service metals recycling.

“The innovation and technology we are putting in place at the new Cambridge Retail Center is cutting edge and as a result, customers will experience convenience and top dollar pricing,” Mark said. “Our facility design includes having multiple indoor drive-thru lanes that will be a welcomed convenience when Minnesota’s tough weather days challenge us.”

At the new Cambridge facility, NRI intends to continue its ongoing efforts to sustain its commitment to environmental stewardship.

“We voluntarily exceed environmental and safety standards and we are proud of our record of quality and compliance,” Mark said.

NRI is also starting a new business unit in the Cambridge facility, which will include private and confidential buying of precious metals.

Both the Hugo Facility and the new Cambridge Retail Center will be open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.

NRI is a Minnesota-based, family-owned business and has operated in the metals recycling industry for more than two decades.
