Come to the American Legion basement in Cambridge on Saturday, May 5 from 4 to 9 p.m., to raise money for Kevin Anderson.
On Jan. 2, Kevin fell, causing a traumatic brain injury and a serious stroke. He was rushed down to Abbott hospital, where he had a 23-day stay. After extensive physical, speech and occupational therapies, he was able to come home. The work is far from over, though; he has weekly appointments to keep moving with his recovery and he has to have 24-hour care. Recently, Kevin had a follow-up appointment, which revealed an aneurism that needed to be repaired. Kevin’s surgery was on Feb. 20, and even though everything went according to plan, Kevin’s recovery is far from over. Kevin was born and raised in Isanti County, graduating from Cambridge-Isanti High School in 1984. He is employed by Larson Cycle, and has worked there for 28 years.
Join them May 5 for free food, a silent auction, live music and a bake sale. Cash donations will be accepted at Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union. For more information, call Jeaane DeGray at 651-808-2041 (days) or 651-674-5558 (evenings), or Martin Larson at 612-490-3245.
