CIHS Tennis Court Dedication & Celebration April 21

COMMUNITY SPORTS NOTES: The public is invited to a community-wide celebration on Saturday, April 21, from 10 a.m. until noon in honor of the new Cambridge-Isanti High School tennis courts. There will be door prizes and free on-court activities for people of all ages, including QuickStart Tennis for kids ages 5-10 and favorite games for middle and high school players.

A USTA teaching pro will be leading a Cardio Tennis session for adults, which is sponsored by the Cambridge-Medical Center Non-Surgical Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Clinic. People will also have a chance to check their serve speed and compete to beat CIHS Athletic Director Mark Solberg’s serve speed.

A silent auction to benefit the Bluejacket Tennis Boosters will also be taking place during the event, with items ranging from local gift certificates to tennis lessons with a teaching pro.  Along with a short dedication ceremony to thank ISD 911 and the USTA for funding the courts, both the Cambridge and Isanti Ambassadors will be face-painting and refreshments will be served.
