Kids’ Events at Spirit River
Wednesday, April 4: Spirit River Community Church Youth Group will be held at Isanti Intermediate School at 5:30 p.m. Kids Klub for 1st-3rd graders, and 456 Fellowship for 4th-6th graders, will be held at Spirit River Community Center in Isanti, 1320 Co. Rd. 5 NE (formerly’s Spectacular Events Banquet Center) at 5:30 p.m. Come and have a fun time, and a meal is provided to visiting families at both locations.
Free Community Dinner, Bread Distribution
Thursday, April 5: A free community dinner and bread distribution will be held the first Thursday of each month. It’s hosted by Cambridge UPC Church, located at 210 10th Ave SW, Cambridge, (renting the Seventh Day Adventist Church), and will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. Questions, or if you need a ride, call Pastor David L. Free Movie and Eggstravaganza

Four Seasons Garden Club’s Open House
Monday, April 9: The Four Seasons Garden Club will be having its annual Open House at 7 p.m. at the Minnco Center, 236 2nd Ave. SW, Cambridge. The guest speaker is Philippe Gallandat, owner of Swiss Gardens with the topic being “Landscape Renovation and Gardening Revisited.” Gallandat holds a BA – MA (equivalent) In Agriculture – Horticulture – Landscape Design in Geneva Switzerland. He is owner of Swiss Gardens, St. Paul, a landscape design company. He was winner of the 2006 St. Paul Golden Bloom Award in the category Art in the Garden. Northern Gardener magazine profiled Philippe’s garden in the Nov./Dec. 2007 issue. The cover of the magazine featured some of the yard decorations he made. He also discussed container gardens at the 2012 Minneapolis Home & Garden Show. All welcome.
Curves offers workout in honor of Annie Maltrud
Tuesday, April 10: Curves in Cambridge will host a special workout from 4-7 p.m. in honor of Annie Maltrud. All are welcome, and snacks and prizes will be provided.
Immigration discussion at Cambridge Campus
Tuesday, April 10: An immigration discussion, featuring guest speaker Salima Khakoo, CEO and Managing Attorney of American Dream Law LLC, will take place at the Anoka Ramsey Community College Cambridge Campus in Room G202 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. This event is free, and open to the public. Why are so many people coming to the United States illegally? Why can’t they just “follow the rules?” What is this doing to our economy, our culture, our stereotypes and perceptions of immigrants? Whatever your view on immigration, you will leave this discussion with an arsenal of information.

Breathe Deep and De-Clutter Your Life
Saturday, April 14: The Cambridge-Isanti Women of Today will host a “Breath Deep and De-Clutter Your Life” workshop from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Lake State Federal Credit Union. Guest speaker will be Rebecca Lewis, a certified stress management consultant. The workshop is free, and will focus on de-cluttering your mental and physical space. April Annihilation Fundraiser for Special Olympics
Saturday, April 14: An April Annihilation Fundraiser to benefit Cambridge-Isanti Special Olympics will be held at the Isanti Ice Arena. The event will feature five action-packed matches featuring former AWA & WWF Star Tony Denucci and Singing Sensation Talia Rae. Doors open at 6 p.m., with matches beginning at 7 p.m. Adults are $10, students, $5 and 10 and under free ($20 maximum per family). Come and be a part of the T. V. taping. Register Now for MS Walk in Cambridge
Sunday, May 6: Registration for the MS Walk in Cambridge will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Anoka Ramsey Community College Cambridge Campus. The walk is 1.5 miles or 3.0 miles to walk. Once you have registered, you can begin the walk. There will be snacks, hot dogs, Subway and water for walkers. They will also have a DJ and face painting and drawings. Prize drawings range from Perkins, movie tickets to car washes and more. Winner not be present to win.
