Retreat focuses on dealing with “Hurts of Life”
Women of all ages are invited to a spring mini-retreat, “Alterations: Patching And Mending The Hurts Of Life,” on Saturday April 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Cambridge. Tickets are $10 per person, and include morning coffee and a delicious lunch.
Mary Stauffer, kidnap victim, will speak about troubling surprises in life, and how to deal with them, grow from them, and help others through them. Have you ever wondered how to encourage or help someone who is hurting? A panel of women who have “been there” will share ideas for help and healing that they have experienced.
Bring an item that you think represents you to weave into a special tapestry: (twigs, string, ribbon, fabric, beads, feathers, etc.)
Child care through age 7 is available for a fee and advance registration. Call Kay at 763-689-1878 for information.
Tickets are $10 and are on sale through Sunday, April 15 at First Baptist Church or by calling the office 763-689-1173.
