Marilynn Mae Anderson
Marilynn was born Dec. 23, 1940 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada to parents Hugh and Mae MacEachern. After graduating from Balfour Tech in 1958, Marilynn served in the Royal Canadian Air Force for the next two years. After moving to California in 1960, she began working in construction for the Shell Oil Company. In 1982 Marilynn moved to Alaska where she worked as a cook and bartender until she retired in 1999. Marilynn was united in marriage to Paul E. Anderson on Sept. 10, 1988 in Chugiak, Alaska. Together the couple lived in Alaska until 1999, when they moved to their current home in Braham, Minn.
Marilynn loved tending to her many gardens. She spent many days each summer canning all the fruits and vegetables she grew. She had such a talent for canning, that she often taught others her canning techniques. When she wasn’t working in the garden or the kitchen, she loved to spend time on the lakes and rivers fishing. Marilynn will be dearly missed.
