The Cambridge-Isanti Dollars for Scholars Phonathon will be held on Monday and Tuesday evening, March 26-27, from 6 to 8 p.m.
This will be the 21st Phonathon held in the Cambridge-Isanti School District to raise funds for scholarships. During the Phonathon, Cambridge-Isanti High School students will be calling area residents asking them for scholarship donations. Your support will be helpful and truly appreciated.
Donations are very important for many of our graduating seniors as scholarships help defray the cost of post high school education expenses. Last year $141,350 in scholarships were presented to students planning to continue their education beyond high school. This includes students who are planning to attend a four-year college or university or a community or technical college. Scholarship availability for graduating seniors is very important and supportive to students who wish to continue their education beyond their high school years.
The Phonathon donations amount to about one-quarter of the total scholarships given from local sources. To the individuals, businesses and community organizations that sponsor the other three-quarters of the scholarships that are awarded annually, they again say thank you. Your efforts are of great assistance to the young men and women of our community who are stepping into a new stage of their life. This benevolence is one of the many attributes that make the Cambridge-Isanti area such a great place to live, work and attend school.
Since many graduates with varying talents and abilities are eligible for a number of scholarships, an application must be submitted. They encourage all students who are planning to continue their education following high school to complete a scholarship application. The reward for submitting an application is likely to be a scholarship. The applications for scholarships are available in the Cambridge-Isanti High School Counselors’ office.
