Youth Groups at Spirit River
Wednesday, March 7: The Spirit River Community Church Youth Group will meet at Isanti Intermediate School at 5:30 p.m. Kid’s Klub & 456 Fellowship will meet at Spirit River Community Center at 5:30 p.m. Meals will be provided to all families. Spirit River is located at 1320 Co. Rd., 5 NE, Isanti (formerly Spectacular Events).
Fish Fry Dinner
Friday, March 9: Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Isanti will hold a Lenten Fish Fry from 4:30-7 p.m. All you can eat fish, potatoes, vegetables, coleslaw, dessert, and beverages will be served. Cost is $9/adult, $5/ages 6-12 and 5 and under are free. The church is located at the intersection of Co. Rds. 5 & 23 in Isanti. Sponsored by Knights of Columbus Council #10238.
Matthew 25 Ministry
Saturday, March 10: Matthew 25 Food Distribution Ministry will be held at Isanti Middle School. Doors open at 9 a.m. Spirit River Community distributes food to any and all who show up. Every person, no matter the age, receives two grocery bags of food.
Isanti Lions Pancake Breakfast
Sunday, March 11: The Isanti Lions will hold a Pancake Breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon at the Isanti Community Center. All-You-Can-Eat pancakes, ham and eggs, milk, coffee and juice will be served. Bacon will be available for purchase, but limited supply. Cost is $6/adults, $5/seniors and children. Proceeds benefit community projects.
Garage Sale at Spirit River
Sunday, March 11: A “Name Your Own Price” Garage Sale will be held at Spirit River Community Center from noon until 3 p.m. Spirit River is located at 1320 Co. Rd., 5 NE, Isanti (formerly Spectacular Events).

C-I One ‘Track’ Mind Booster Club
Tuesday, March 13: The Cambridge-Isanti One ‘Track’ Mind Booster Club will be having a booster-parent meeting at 7 p.m. in the Cambridge-Isanti High School Cafeteria. This will be an informational meeting for track parents as to who we are and how we hope to help the boys and girls track teams this spring. There will be informational handouts and a opportunity to volunteer for the pancake breakfast coming up on March 18, and for the concessions at the home track meets.
Legion celebrates 93rd birthday
Thursday, March 15: The Howard McCarty American Legion Post 290 in Cambridge will be celebrating the Legion’s 93rd birthday beginning at 7 p.m. at the Post home. All members are welcome to join. Come and enjoy. Hors d’oevres, cake and ice cream will be served.
Sons of Norway at Isanti Community Expo
Saturday, March 17: Visit the Rum Elva Lodge Sons of Norway of Cambridge booth at the Isanti Area Community Expo from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Isanti Intermediate School. They hope everyone will stop by to buy their homemade Viking On a Stick (cookies) and to see the picture (print) they will raffle off. Raffle tickets will be on sale. Come and learn about Sons of Norway; and hear about the great programs they have at their meetings on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at SAC’s on Third in Cambridge. Sons of Norway is open to men and women. You need not be Norwegian to join. Anyone who has an interest in Nordic culture is welcome.
One ‘Track’ Mind Booster Club Breakfast Fundraiser
Sunday, March 18: The 2nd annual Cambridge-Isanti One ‘Track’ Mind Booster Club Waffle/Pancake breakfast will be held from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Christ the King Catholic Parish Hall, 305 Fern Street, Cambridge. Tickets are $6 and kids under 6 are free . All proceeds from the breakfast will help support the Cambridge-Isanti boys and girls track programs by purchasing new supplies and equipment.
