Cambridge Lutheran youth collect donations

LOGOS kids, 4th through 6th graders at Cambridge Lutheran Church, participated in “Souper Bowl of Caring” on Super Bowl Sunday.

David Buchanan, Ben Stoffel and Jace Wilkinson help pack and deliver food for the Isanti County Food Pantry as part of the “Souper Bowl of Caring.”

They collected 390 food items and $832.31 in cash donations for the Isanti County Food Pantry.

In 1990, a Super Bowl Prayer inspired a group of young people to do something more than celebrate a football game. They mobilized youth across the country to raise more than $71 million for people in need. In 2010, 17,689 groups of young people throughout the U.S. generated $9,585, 832 in cash and food for their local charities.

The LOGOS kids also delivered the food to the Isanti County Food Pantry, located in the First Baptist Church. The LOGOS kids plan to make this a regular service event.
