The Pregnancy Resource Center of Cambridge will host two volunteer information meetings.
The first meeting will be held on Feb. 21 at 7 p.m., and another on Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. Both meetings will cover the same material; interested volunteers need only attend one of the meetings.
Meetings will be held at the Pregnancy Resource Center’s office at 140 Buchanan St. N. Suite 138, Cambridge. They are located in the City Center Mall between Family Pathways Thrift Store and City Hall. An RSVP to 763-689-4319 is appreciated but not necessary.
The Pregnancy Resource Center of Cambridge is a Christian, non-profit organization assisting women and men in finding life-affirming solutions to unplanned pregnancies. They offer a variety of services such as limited medical services, parenting education, a fathering program, material assistance, abortion education and alternatives, adoption education and referral, post-abortion healing, abstinence education, emotional/spiritual support, and Bible studies. These services are offered in a caring, compassionate, and non-judgmental atmosphere allowing each client to participate in any or all programs as they wish.
They are seeking volunteers who might be interested in serving in a variety of ways including medical professionals (nurses and sonographers), female and male lay counselors to work with clients (training provided), office help, event/fundraising help, and many other opportunities.
Training for those who wish to work with clients will be held March 12-15 from 6 to 9 p.m. and March 17 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All training dates must be attended unless an exception is made by the Director.
