Children’s Dental Health Month

Through February: In celebration of National Children’s Dental Health Month, stop by Cambridge Dental Center, 124 1st Ave East, Cambridge, to pick up a free child’s toothbrush while supplies last. They encourage families to focus on dental health care this month and throughout the year.

Self-Advocacy Dinner & Dance Fundraiser

Friday, Feb. 17: An Isanti County Self-Advocacy Dinner & Dance Fundraiser will be held at United Methodist Church on Cypress Street in Cambridge. The Spaghetti Dinner will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and the dance from 6:30-8:30 p.m. $5 admission-including staff. All are welcome. Contact Maggie Treichel at 763-370-3946 for more information.

Mother-Son, Father-Daughter Dance

Saturday, Feb. 18: Cambridge Christian School will be holding a Mother-Son, Father-Daughter Dance from 6:30-9:30 p.m. for grades Preschool-6th grade. Come enjoy ice cream sundaes and dancing with you sweetheart. Tickets are $10 per couple or $5 per person and are available at CCS before school or at the door. Isanti VFW Open House

Saturday, Feb. 18: The Isanti VFW will hold a Community Open House/Membership Drive from noon to 3 p.m. Information will be provided on upcoming community events, various veterans programs and Information on how you can get involved and help our community and veterans. Friends of Grass Lake Church

Saturday, Feb. 18: The Friends of the Grass Lake Church will meet at 10 a.m. at the Park Cafe in Braham. This historic church is owned by the Kanabec History Center. Most of the renovation has been completed and the building is available for rental for a variety of uses. If you are interested in renting this building, contact the History Center at 320-679-1665. Anyone interested in the details remaining of this building are encouraged to attend this meeting.

Kenny Krona to perform at City Center Cafe

Saturday, Feb. 18: Kenny Krona, local guitarist and singer, will perform at City Center Café from 4-6 p.m. Kenny plays a wide variety of popular rock, pop, and country music and more. Come in for coffee or a smoothie and a piece of cheesecake, and enjoy. The Café will host Kenny on the third Saturday of each month, 4-6 p.m., for the next several months, so mark your calendars now. City Center Café is located next to City Center Market at 122 N. Buchanan St., Cambridge.

Family Movie Night

Thursday, Feb. 23: The Spirit River Community Center will hold a family movie night at 6 p.m. Cost is $2 at the door. Spirit River is located at 1320 Co. Rd. 5 NE, Isanti (formerly Spectacular Events).

Spaghetti Dinner

Friday, Feb. 24: Long Lake Lutheran Church, Hwy. 47 and 277th Ave., Isanti, will host a Spaghetti Dinner from 4-7 p.m. Adults, $5, ages 6-12, $3 and under 6 are free. Includes spaghetti, garlic bread, dessert and beverage for one low price.

Fish Fry Dinners at Catholic Parish Hall

Friday, Feb. 24 & March 23: The Christ the King Knights of Columbus is once again sponsoring its annual Fish Fry Dinner, Fridays, Feb. 24 and March 23, from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Catholic Parish Hall, 315 North Fern Street in Cambridge. As usual, the meal is all you can eat. Excellent fish, potatoes, vegetable, coleslaw, dessert, coffee/milk and juice will be served. Prices are $9 for adults; $5 for 12 and under and free for children 5 and under.

Pork Chop Dinner at St. John Lutheran-Weber

Saturday, Feb. 25: The Mission Society of St. John Lutheran-Weber will be having its 14th Annual Pork Chop Dinner and Silent Auction from 5-7 p.m. at 28168 Jodrell St. NE North Branch. Ticket are Adults-$8, Children (ages 6-12) $5.50, Children under 5-free. This year they will be returning to New Orleans and working with Camp Restore in rebuilding the areas still devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Volunteers help with rebuilding churches, homes, wetlands and more. Help support them by coming to the pork chop dinner and silent auction. Call 763-444-5988 for more information.
