Arts Council grants available to students
The East Central Regional Arts Council (ECRAC) McKnight Fellowship program is an annual competitive grant designed to provide financial support to recognize, reward, and encourage outstanding professional artists.
Applications are encouraged from artists in all disciplines. Funding for this program is provided by The McKnight Foundation. The next ECRAC Fellowship opportunity for artists will be March 1. Two $7,000 ECAC-McKnight Fellowships will be awarded.
The 2011 ECAC-McKnight Fellowships went to Robert Briscoe, Harris, and Kevin Michael Snyder, Isanti.
The ECRAC Scholarships are available annually to K-12th grade students in the region. The kids receiving Scholarships in the past have experienced a wide range of art activities with ECRAC assistance including jazz camp, show choir camp, dance camp, theatre festivals, and visual art residencies. The next ECRAC Scholarship deadline is March 1. Three $500 ECAC-McKnight Scholarships will be awarded.
The East Central Regional Arts Council is an organization dedicated to improving the quantity and quality of arts in the region. This is accomplished primarily through grant-making for organizations and individuals in Region 7E (Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, and Pine counties.) Only applicants permanently residing in these counties are eligible for this funding.
For these application forms online go to www.ecrac.org or for more information contact ECRAC by telephone 320-396-2337; or by e-mail at email@example.com. This programming is made possible with funding provided by the ECRAC through an appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature and also by The McKnight Foundation.
