Nine GRC titles in row for Braham boys hoops

The Bombers clinched at least a share of their ninth straight Great River boys basketball crown after defeating host Isle 79-48 Feb. 6. Braham hit 12 three-pointers against the Huskies– five from Tyler Vaughan (23 points, 10 assists), four from Sam Stigen (15 points) and two from Shaun Hollenkamp (9 points). Cameron Braund added 14 points, and Anthony Bias scored 10.

• The Bombers, top-ranked in Class AA boys basketball, held a 64-18 halftime lead en route to defeating host Ogilvie 96-34 Feb. 3. Pacing the team were Vaughan (23), Bias (20), Braund (17) and Hollenkamp (16).

Braham should get a good challenge when they host Pierz (14-4) Saturday night, Feb. 11.
