Author offers Feb. 18 retreat on “Soul Craving”

Joel Warne will facilitate a retreat titled “Be Still and Know that I am God,” using themes from his book: “Soul Craving: An Invitation to the Feast that Satisfies.”

Author Joel Warne will facilitate a retreat at Lakeside Christian Church on Feb. 18.

Lakeside Christian Church will host the retreat, scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 18. The church is located at 32393 Rendova Cir. N.E., Cambridge.

Participants will be invited to “experience worshipful listening that makes struggles and joys places of intimate connection with the Lord.”

Warne adds, “You can easily lose a sense of God’s presence in your life by accident, but you are not likely to gain a sense of his presence by accident. You have to be intentional.”

People who have attended Warne’s retreats said:

“I really appreciated the way you offered different venues for the Holy Spirit to work in our hearts rather than just filling up our heads with more information.  I was deeply blessed!”

“Joel’s insights, gentle spirit and intimacy with God come through—causing the same attributes to be enhanced in my life.”

Warne is the founder of WellSpring Life Resources, Inc. and the author of “Soul Craving” and “How to Eat Your Bible” spiritual formation group and classroom curricula. These materials draw from 30 years of leading small groups, workshops and retreats around the theme of weaving a more full experience of God.

To register, or for more information, contact the church at 763-689-3649 or lakesidesecretary@gmail.com. The fee is $20 per person; $30 per couple; $15 for students. Space is limited.
