Keith V. Carlson

Keith V. Carlson, 70, of Isanti passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, January 12, 2012.

Keith Virgil Carlson was born Nov. 15, 1941 in Minneapolis to Claude and Frances (Lindquist) Carlson. He was raised in Minneapolis and graduated from Patrick Henry High School, Class of 1959. After graduating he served in the United States Marine Corps for 4 years from 1959 – 1963. In 1966 Keith married Mary A. Larson and together they would have 2 children. Keith was employed by Grain Belt Brewery of Minneapolis. After that they moved to McGrath and farmed for 7 years. In 1979 they moved back to Champlin where they were owner/operator of a dump truck business. When Keith retired in 2006 they moved to rural Isanti where they built their log home.

Keith is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary; son Brad (Lexy) Carlson of St. Francis; daughter, Julie (Joe) Schreder of St. Michael; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a special niece. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold and his wife Sharon; father-in-law Vern Larson; and brother-in-law Mark Larson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Isanti with Father Jose Edayadiyil as celebrant. Fran Jacobson will serve as cantor and Daniel Olson as soloist. Dorine Schommer will serve as organist. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel.
