Rush City-Braham wrestlers get 1st win
The Rush City-Braham wrestlers cracked the win column in a 66-12 GRC match over Cloquet. The Lumberjacks forfeited at seven weights, but the other matches were very entertaining.
Tyler Sitz got the Tigers on the board by rallying for a 13-12 decision at 113, getting a two-point nearfall with 20 seconds to go. Cloquet led 12-3 after a pin at 120, but RC-B’s Dan Taylor scrambled for a 27-21 decision at 126, then Brady Anderson’s fall at 138 put the Tigers ahead for good.
Dan Johnson at 152 and Isaiah Johnson at 160 added Tiger pins to push the lead out to 36-12.

On Friday, the RC-B Tigers placed 6th at the Chisago Lakes Invite with 120.5 points. St. Croix Falls won the meet with 186.5 points, followed by the host Wildcats with 170 points.
Tyler Sitz went 1-1 with a bye to place 2nd at 113, and Brady Anderson was 2-1 to place 2nd at 138 for the Tigers. Placing 3rd for Rush City-Braham were Logan Johnson (2-1 at 170) and Jacob Lynch (1-1 w/bye at 195). Isaiah Johnson was 4th at 160. Placing 5th were Dan Taylor at 126 (two pins) and Dan Johnson at 152 (two pins).
Jaguars 42, Tigers 36
In a Great River Conference dual Dec. 13 against visiting Hinckley-Pine City, the Tigers led 34-24 after a strong run in the middle weights, but the Jaguars pulled out the victory with pins in the three final matches. Recording falls for Rush City-Braham were Tyler Sitz (113), Dan Taylor (126), Isaiah Johnson (160), and Logan Johnson (170).
Brady Anderson took an 8-3 decision at 145, and Dan Johnson held for a 4-2 decision at 152.
